PRECISELY HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST THE RESIDENTS OF wEST vIEW?

Under the leadership of Daniel M Daugherty, large sums of money have already been paid to Borough Solicitor Fred Baxter, Pittsburgh Attorney as well as other consultants, during the course of this lawsuit. Instead of paying for a 3 million dollar bond ten years ago, repaying 13,485,540 million dollars will now be the full responsibility of the residents of wEST vIEW. In an effort to minimize the financial ramifications, wEST vIEW officials have characterized it as... "It was a case of pay now or pay later." Actually, it's... PAY NOW OR PAY MORE THAN FOUR TIMES AS MUCH LATER! The residents will be paying later .... right through their noses, and for a long time to come. What can only be described as BAD LEGAL ADVICE, will now cost residents more than FOUR TIMES the amount originally due!

There will be a jump in charges of almost THREE HUNDRED PERCENT for wEST vIEW residents' Waste Water bills, for the next THIRTY YEARS!

HOW THIS AGREEMENT HAS BECOME SO COSTLY FOR THE RESIDENTS OF wEST vIEW
A	Refusal of wEST vIEW Water Authority to pay 3 million dollars to honor their contract with Girty's Run Joint Sewer Authority. The current judgement of $7,226,982.24 is the result of a lawsuit filed on September 11, 1996.
B	The heavy handed leadership of Daniel M. Daugherty. (Director wEst vIEW Water Authority and President of wEST vIEW Council)
C	The self-serving actions of Fred E. Baxter, Pittsburgh Attorney, coupled with his thoroughly inept legal advice. (Attorney wEST vIEW Water Authority and Solicitor wEST vIEW Borough)
D	Ten years of Attorneys' fees TIMES TWO, since attorneys from both sides are to be paid as per order of court!
E	Ten years of court costs and appeals, in courtrooms all the way to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
F	Ten years of interest on millions of dollars.
G	Incapable personnel who have been appointed or elected to fill key positions. They can be collectively described as "yes-men", and have been a total disservice to their community.
H	Uninformed residents who are adverse to, or unaware of, the checks and balances that an alternative political party can provide.
I	Ignorance or indifference of the electorate to the conflicts of interest and the nepotism, which have been created by the inappropriate marriage of wEST vIEW Borough and wEST vIEW Water Authority.
J	All costs related to floating a $7,695,000 bond, resulting in the total cost of $13,485,540. To be paid for by water users in the Borough of wEST vIEW until the year 2037.

Interesting to note....

The First Pony Express Run began in St. Joseph, Missouri on April 3, 1860 The run's destination was Sacramento, California, a distance of about 1700 miles that was covered in a little less than eleven days.

More than 146 years later, on September 15, 2006--a court order from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Western District, took close to two months before reaching West View.
